Hope for Honduras
Our church has been actively involved in Honduras since 2009. We have made several trips and presently strive to make at least 2 trips per year. We have "adopted" a region in Honduras where we concentrate our work. Our goal is to build familiarity, friendships and relationships through repeated trips to the same places.
We work with local churches in Honduras to build houses, distribute food, provide medical treatments, and a lot of other things. Honduras is a very poor country, one of the poorest in the world. The people there have great needs, and we do our best to help.
Our main trip takes place in the summer. We usually try to take 15-20 people for a 10 day trip. For more information, contact Allen Burris at firstname.lastname@example.org or Steve Gilstrap at email@example.com.
Honduras Blanket Ministry
Over the years we have had several women in our congregation who have used their creative talents to help the families and children of Honduras. These women make home made fleece blankets to send on our mission trips. These blankets are given to local families in need. In addition, we have had groups of women knit blocks which were put together to form warm blankets.
